How cool is that? A website that can help you build and choose a green home. I had a similar idea a while back where you could take prefab interchangable pieces ("lego pieces") and create your own green prefab home with a cost of materials and cost of labor estimator. I think it would also be cool if it could automatically find contractors in the area that could do the job.

I think it's brilliant. Use what's out there and add shape to it. It's a hybrid approach to house plans and custom homes.

Great looking home! I love the large porch. The large covered porch seems to be missing from most green homes, but this one has it and manages to make it look really nice too.

I agree. Houses in general could use more porches, decks, and other types of outdoor spaces to foster outdoor activity and interaction with people and things outside. Plus, it feels good to sit outside in a chair with people and just relax ...
